42 rooftops, one neighborhood. For the 2026 edition, the Rotterdam Rooftop Days deliberately chose a compact area around Hofplein, Weena, and Stationsplein. Not only because it is practical, but because this part of the city is going through something special.
This is already one of the most densely built-up areas in the Netherlands. And yet, a massive construction boom is on the horizon. In ten years, towers will rise into the sky here and the skyline will have completely changed. The Dakendagen offer you a unique opportunity to see what that looks like before it happens, how it used to be, and to understand how, in that new city, we can still find space on the rooftops to make the city more fun, greener, and more sustainable.
