This former HBS (higher secondary school) on 's Gravendijkwal is a historic school building dating back to the early twentieth century. The building is now managed by SKAR, an organization that operates creative incubators throughout Rotterdam. In consultation with the municipality, SKAR, Dansateliers, and GROUNDS developed a plan to transform the former school into a new breeding ground for the performative arts. They succeeded. New Grounds, the platform for emerging talent currently located there, will provide musical accompaniment for your rooftop visit during the Rooftop Days.
