You can't see it from the street, but they're there: green rooftops with solar panels on the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences! On the edge of Museumpark stands this monumental building, designed in the 30s by architect HF Mertens as the Unilever headquarters.

Now one of the main locations of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, it's brimming with sustainable ambitions. The green roof at Museumpark boasts an impressive 3.181m² and features 661 solar panels, which can supply energy to an impressive 59 households in the city. A roof garden with 149 solar panels has also been created.
