No, unfortunately purchased tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded.

If you have extra tickets you won’t use, you might be able to make someone else happy with them or offer them on TicketSwap.

We can’t assess the severity of your fear, but it’s good to know that all rooftops have permits and strict safety measures. If in doubt, we recommend scouting the location in advance to see the height for yourself.

From April 17. Some programme items will be available later.

A rooftop visit typically takes 45 to 60 minutes. Duration for performances or special events is listed on the programme page.

Rotterdam Rooftop Days 2025: May 29 – June 9, 2025

The Rotterdam Rooftop Slide is open from 10:00 to 20:00 (last time slot at 19:15) on:

• Thursday, May 29 to Monday, June 1

• Wednesday, June 4 to Monday, June 9

Other events take place on various days, but most rooftops can be visited during the two weekends (May 31–June 1 and June 7–8) between 10:00 and 19:00.

Yes, you can! You decide on the rooftop whether you take the slide or the stairs. If the slide is closed due to weather conditions, you will take the stairs anyway.

A ticket costs €7.50.

No discounts available.

Babies in a carrier can join for free but are not allowed on the slide. You must use the stairs.

The Rotterdam Rooftop Days team designed the slide and is building it together with various partners such as scaffolders and constructors. The construction consists mainly of wood and scaffolding material. Before the event starts, the slide is inspected by a competent authority, which assesses the safety of your visit. Without this certificate, the slide will not open.

The rooftop and outdoor area behind the museum feature an exciting exhibition on Rotterdam’s relationship with surrounding water. More info will follow closer to the event.

No, it ends on a pontoon in the Leuvehaven. You won’t get wet.

Rooftop Slide Exhibition:

€7.50 per person

Your ticket grants access to the exhibition on the roof of the Maritime Museum. You can descend via the slide or stairs. In case of bad weather, the slide may be (temporarily) closed, but your ticket remains valid within your time slot. Only if the rooftop itself must close will you receive a refund.

Other program components:

No ticket or reservation needed for free events.

Yes! You can visit the rooftop of Las Palmas for free. At this rooftop you will find food and drink stands and some free performances.

You must check in between the opening and start time of your event — listed on your ticket.

For the Rooftop Roetsj, your time slot is 15 minutes. You must check in during this time.

That varies per location. If there’s no minimum age listed, children under 16 must be accompanied — max 2 children per adult.

No minimum age, but a minimum height of 120 cm is required. Parents and children can’t slide together. Children go first, then the accompanying adult.

You may always opt for the stairs instead.

No. Babies in carriers are allowed (except on rooftops with a minimum age). No ticket needed for babies.

But no slide use with a baby in a carrier.

This is to ensure safety and supervision.

You do not need a ticket for a baby in a baby carrier. Children aged 0 to 2 years old can go up to the rooftop for free, on the condition that they can be carried during the entire rooftop visit, if necessary.

Please note: children under 2 years old are not allowed at rooftops where an age restriction already applies.

You are not allowed to go down the slide at the Maritime Museum with a baby in a baby carrier.

Yes, but plan 60 minutes per rooftop plus travel time. Some events take longer. Allow buffer time.

In previous years, we had a Rooftop Pass (Dakpas). For this 10th edition, you choose and book each rooftop separately for a specific time. Each visit is in small groups with a story or unique experience.

This year, you book rooftops individually to match your schedule and interests.

You’re responsible for your transport. Tip: use a bike or public transport — many rooftops are metro-accessible. Plan your trip on RET.nl.

No. Tickets are valid only for their time slot. Rain does not change this. You’re still welcome — bring a raincoat or umbrella.

Not all rooftops are. Some are normally inaccessible and made accessible temporarily. We do our best where possible. Check the overview page and filter for accessible rooftops. If not listed as accessible, assume it is not. Email info@rotterdamsedakendagen.nl with questions.

In case of emergencies, we use spoken instructions in Dutch and English. Visitors must understand these or come with someone who does.
The Rooftop Roetsj exhibition has no sound elements and is very suitable.

We recommend being accompanied by someone sighted. Rooftops are fenced, but most safety and exhibit info is text-based.
