Every city on earth has many square kilometers of flat rooftops. In Rotterdam, that's 18,5 km², of which 1 km² is in the city center. That's 18,5 times the size of Kralingse Plas, where usually very little happens. And in a city where space is at a premium, we should do more with it.
We demonstrate how rooftops can contribute to a healthy, vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable city. During our annual Rotterdam Rooftop Days, everyone is welcome on the roof to be part of a living vision for the future of the rooftop landscape.
