Open-water swimming is becoming increasingly popular in city centers. You can now take a dip in places that were previously unsafe. A completely new beach with an adjacent park is currently being constructed in the Rijnhaven. It won't be completed until 2028, but swimming lanes have been laid along the Kop van Zuid quay, making it safe to swim laps.

The Leuvehaven could also be a wonderful swimming location in the future. This will be tested on June 15th with Rotterdam City SwimWith the City Swim, Erasmus MC raises money for cancer research.
