This work of art, Electric Blue Hermit Crab by artist Eddy Kaijser, is made from plastic waste from the Rotte River. A beautiful idea and a beautiful work of art, but actually quite strange that there's enough plastic floating in the Rotte to make this. Fortunately, almost 300 volunteers are already committed to keeping the Rotte clean through the Rotte plastic-free. Because the river that Rotterdam owes its name to deserves better!
