Until 2008, Rotterdam had a real Beach on the MaasNear the Erasmus Bridge, you could enjoy sunbathing, partying, and a game of beach tennis every year. The first edition took place from May to early September 2004. After a few wet summers and the resulting low income, the beach did not return in 2009. Fortunately, we will soon have a permanent city beach in the Rijnhaven, where you can already (unlike at the Beach on the Maas) you can swim in the Maas water!
