Generating energy from waves

You're looking out to sea, less than 30 kilometers away. Did you know that waves at sea generate energy? Dutch Wave Power has devised a machine that harnesses this energy. It's a tube that moves up and down on the waves. Inside, a generator converts this movement into electricity. This can power your lamp, refrigerator, or phone, for example. Very handy: waves are always present, even when the wind isn't blowing or the sun isn't shining. Want to learn more about innovation in the port?
