Rotterdam is making significant efforts to green up its streets with major urban projects like Hofplein, Hofbogenpark, and Rijnhavenpark. Similar plans are also underway for Blaak and Westblaak. From up here, it still looks reasonably green, but at ground level, it's now mostly a major highway. Not exactly welcoming to other visitors. Extensive research has already been conducted, but it's not yet clear when the transformation will actually take place. A new city council will revisit this plan after the local elections in 2026.
