Make way for the fish

It's hard to see, but on the other side of the Blaak lies the water of the Leuvekolk. Because the Blaak has been filled in, the water flows underground here to the Leuvehaven in a large pipe.

To help fish make this crossing, there is a fish passage built, designed by BOOM LandscapeSticklebacks, carp, and glass eels face a strong current and a water level difference of 1 meter 26. This is impossible without assistance. They can, however, cross via the stairs.
