AIR is a redevelopment of an inward-looking department store into a multifunctional building with an open character. AIR comprises approximately 10.000 m² of retail space and 25.000 m² of office space, better known as AIR Offices.
At AIR, sustainability, health and the happiness of users are central to the design, from construction to furnishing.
AIR architect Imola Bérczi: “AIR is a form of campus design that emphasizes liveliness and social interaction. Inside, we create an atmosphere where people can move easily, with an abundance of daylight, spaciousness, and fresh air.”
LOOK UP!
In the vibrant plinth outside, users and passersby will find modern shops and attractive restaurants. Inside, you'll be greeted by a sea of light and space. The atrium is the beating heart of AIR, where people can meet, enjoy coffee, find a moment of peace, and find inspiration. Around the atrium are exceptionally spacious office floors. Above that, on the roof, Rotterdam's best-kept secret will soon be revealed: the exclusive AIR Skyline pavilion with a large lounge terrace and spectacular views of the city center.
