Heavenly Bites at Hofplein

Enjoy a bite and a drink with a view of the transforming Hofplein! At this atmospheric location, De Rooftop serves a special menu for visitors of the Rotterdam Rooftop Days. For €10.50 per person, you’ll be treated to a delicious snack and drink on the sunny rooftop terrace while you dream away about the green oasis for pedestrians and cyclists that Hofplein is soon to become.

What’s on the menu?

Until 1:00 PM, you can choose coffee or tea with a date tart.
From 2:00 PM onwards, you’ll receive a drink of your choice (soft drink, wine, or beer) served with vegetarian gyoza (2 pieces per person).

Hofplein 19 was built in 1960 and originally served as the Shell headquarters. It has recently been completely renovated and now features a rooftop bar with a terrace. From the rooftop, you have a great view of the eponymous traffic circle and the Coolsingel. Today, Hofplein is still a busy roundabout full of cars and the well-known fountain, but starting this year, it will be fully transformed into a low-traffic, pedestrian-friendly area.
