Dakpark

At a height of nine meters and with a length of about 1200 meters, Dakpark Rotterdam is one of the largest rooftop parks in Europe. It also is a green oasis in an urban environment. In addition to sweeping views of the neighborhood and harbors, the park offers a natural space with plenty of room for sports, games, and entertainment. Many local residents seek out the water feature for cooling off in the summer, and there are BBQ areas and a delightful recreation field.

Spread throughout the park, you’ll find various gardens and pergolas. There’s also a community garden with sheep, chickens, vegetable gardens, a fruit hedge, and an adventure trail. The Dakpark Foundation works with a group of volunteers and local residents to maintain the greenery in the park and manage the community garden.
