The multifunctional Thornico building stretches along Westblaak and has been completely renovated according to the design by Kühne & Co architects. The typical ‘seventies’ building is fully equipped with all modern facilities. Additionally, extensive investments have been made in sustainability.
The backside features an enormous green facade (5000m2) to contribute to CO2 reduction and fine particle filtering. On the 45-meter-high roof, we find a surprise: a sanctuary for bees. Learn more about the bee colonies and enjoy a new perspective on the Cool district and Westblaak.
