WTC Rotterdam has been in existence since 1936. In 1928, architect J.F. Staal won a competition for the design and construction of the multifunctional complex. The entrance is striking due to its monumental character.
In 1984, construction began on the well-known high-rise, situated in the middle of the existing low-rise buildings from the 1930s. Queen Beatrix opened the renewed complex in 1987 under the name Beurs – World Trade Center. In 2014, it eventually received its current name: World Trade Center Rotterdam. From the 93-meter-high rooftop, you have a beautiful view over the city and can also admire the historic WTC rooftops, as well as the Coolsingel and Beurstraverse from above.
