Rethink Rooftops

On Friday June 6 2025, we will organise another edition of our international knowledge programme Rethink Rooftops during the Rotterdam Rooftop Days festival. A full day of keynote speeches and networking opportunities for anyone who is professionally interested in utilising and developing urban rooftop space.

How do we bring ‘topping up’ rooftops to a next level as a solution for the housing shortage? How does new legislation affect the use of solar on rooftops? What are great inspirational, international examples of rooftop use? How can neighbourhoods participate in rooftop development, such as the different highlines on former railway lines around the world? How can innovative design aid in creating multi-functional rooftops? Can rooftops fill the gaps in urban biodiversity corridors?

These are just some of the topics we will address during the full day programme. Speakers are a.o.
