how does the festival work?

During Rotterdamse Dakendagen you can visit rooftops! Over 35 rooftops (including the Rotterdam Rooftop Walk) can be visited during the festival weekend. For the various programmes you buy separate tickets. On your ticket, the starting time and location of you acitivity is stated.

The programme is divided in Rooftop Routes, Tours (Dutch spoken) and Specials.

The Rooftop Routes are city walks or bicycle tours across three rooftops that we selected for you. Once you are on a rooftop, besides the view, you will discover surprising festival programme and interventions.
During a Tour, you will be shown several rooftops by a tour guide that can tell you all about the building, the roof and the surroundings. Please note: all Tours are in Dutch.
Specials are surprising events on rooftops like theatre or concerts. But also completely other things. It is everything that a Tour of Rooftop Route is not.
The International Rooftop Knowledge Day is an English spoken knowledge programme about rooftops.

Luchtpark Hofbogen is our festival heart, where you can enjoy the festival atmosphere, the view and have drinks and food.

We hope to see you on the rooftops!
