We will open the afternoon programme with the help of alderman Chantal Zeegers of the Municipality of Rotterdam, followed by a session on best practice examples from the world of utilising rooftops.
Three architectural visionaries have agreed to share their insights for this year’s edition.
Internationally recognised for her expertise in global contemporary architecture and design and the author of Radical Architecture of the Future (2021). She will write the annual rooftop essay.
Architect and curator of international fame, founding partner and director of Mecanoo. Will discuss her work on libraries around the world with green and public rooftop functions.
Senior advisor on urban affairs to the cities of Rotterdam and Amsterdam and author of City without fear of heights (2023), will discuss the deceptive simplicity of rooftop development.
Small group discussions on the different topics that have been addressed in the morning meeting and earlier plenary programme, lead by experts in the field.
